Hello friends,

Some of you may know of my abiding interest and compulsion about
music. Well, today I sang with my son, Henry, in a benefit for AIDS
victims... H sang the solo male baritone part of Les Miserables. He
was wonderful!!! The audience consisted of about 250 people who
donated various sums...

For me, the experience was part of the unfolding of my life...

For those of you who do not know, my Henry wants to become a
professional musician. Only yesterday, he was in the Neptune Festival
here in Virginia Beach, riding on a float, doing his singing thing....
A few momths ago, he perfomed at Epcott.

He also plays guitar and electric bass....

Looks like you may know some people interested in running
computer programs in the background on their computers to
help AIDS research.  You might tell them about these:

I'm looking for similar sites trying to help diabetes research.
The only one I've found is still in beta test, which often means
some danger of wiping out assorted files on your computer.

Thanks, Robert.

I'm not so savvy as you might think, but I do know some folks.... I
really am just a regular guy. An ordinary person.

I'll put out the word.

Wow, great! No video clips?

Speaking of which, this is such a good time for me to insert

Les Misbarack, The Day Before the Election:

But, truly, a good purpose to be singing for & great that it was something you
got to do together!

What a wonderful experience that sounds!

But I had your Henry down as a kid in my head - how old is he now, to
be singing baritone? And a solo, too!

Henry is 15, soon to be 16 at the end of November. He stands at about
6ft 5in., with bright red hair.  He he has a wondeful bass voice. but
he can sing baritone parts too.

That's wonderful Will!   My son sings and plays guitar as well, and has
played with some top musicians at times.   It is so rewarding and heartening
to feel pride in our children.

Woo-hoo!  Way to go, Will.  :-)  And many kudos to your son too.  Sounds
like he's got a good start on his chosen career.

When I was young my father owned a trucking company. It was absolutely
beyond his comprehension that I wanted to be a musician instead of a
truck driver. I envy your son.

Well, John, from what I can tell, you turned out fairly well and had a
good career, anyway. You certainly must have had some fun along the
way, doing what you loved.
