Last night, my wife noticed a lump on my cervical vertebra(e). I'm already
scheduled to see my Diabetician/Primary Care Physician on Monday. I know
he'll send me for tests or, more likely, to see a specialist. Spinal
surgery isn't high on my list of preferred treatments. Oh, well. We shall
see.

I hope it's not bad news too!

I had a couple of vertebrae fused last year, and it wasn't as bad as I
imagined. But it's obviously nicer if you can avoid all that!

Thanks, Cindy. My kid brother just had some kind of spacers put between
several of his vertebrae. He was kind of leery of the procedure, but his
back pain is now gone.

My son who is in the AF has had disk surgery twice and seems like he will be
going in again, he had a friend who had an artificial disk put in to replace
a bad one...he is hoping they can do that to him. They are talking about
seeing if he is healthy enough to stay in the AF because of his back...if
not he will be getting a medical discharge which he doesn't want because he
wants to retire from the AF.

Thanks, Cindy. About 25 years ago, a friend of mine had to have surgery to
remove a tumor that was wrapped around his spine. He came out of it OK.

Hoping it is just one of those silly things we diabetics get time to time
such as a the odd boil or foliculitis <sp> etc and nothing bad.

Sending good vibes your way!

Good mojo sent your way Nick!

Please try not to worry. I think of all the wasted worry and angst I
expended recently with my prostate biopsy and the wait for the results. All
for nothing.

Er, that's your *brain*

Seriously, hope it's something trivial. Even if it isn't sounds like
she's spotted it early which will help.

Fingers crossed for you
