Women And Grills Don't Mix

... damn women are here again this week. In a few hours they'll be in there
cooking potatoes, corn, anything they can find that I can't eat just to
gripe my a.s. I'll get em back, though. I'll fill my Windows Play List full
of songs they don't like and turn it up so they can't hear the TV...hehehee.

Got big thick Rib Eye Steaks (yes, I said rib eye STEAKS) and some of that
scrumptious Butonis Alfredo Sauce to dip my broccoli in. Gonna use the big
grill tonight... makes fire 4 feet high... neighbors'll probably call the
fire department - screw em.

Won't take my lyrica till about 9 o'clock so I'll be stoned by the time I
crack my first bottle of cat-piss. The Ernie and Hulio Merlot was on sale at
Albertsons for 4.95 last night... I lucked up.

Gee John, me thinks you protest too much about having your daughter and
granddaughter there.  ;-)  You grumpy thing, you!  You just want us to think
you're some kind of hard a.s.

I had a grumpy uncle that I called "old Rattlesnake".  He loved to cause
trouble and he loved to get it back.  I saw him sneaking a grin when he
thought no one was looking.

Women go great with grills!  You just don't want to overcook them, the
meat is tender enough.  ;)

Mothers Day I made some extra thick Rib-eyes, marinated-sauteed
'shrooms, fresh green beans with bacon and toasted sesame, some tasty
beef-steak tomatoes, and some purple spuds roasted in olive oil and
roasted garlic.  I took my shot and didn't spike at all (the Cab-sav
probably helped.) ;)
For dessert I took fresh strawberries the day before and macerated
them with the juice of a lime and some Splenda.  I sprinkled the angel-
food cake with Godiva liqueur, topped it with the strawberry sauce and
a dollop of extra creamy cool-whip (I left the cream off of mine.)
Not a perfect diabetic meal by any means, but close enough so we could
have a very nice meal and it didn't affect me too badly.

They're a type that are big huge ones.  Good for slicing on sandwiches.

Not only large, but firm-fleshed and with a rich flavor.  They are
great when quartered and served with a bit of salt and pepper next to
your steak.  I can't vouch for the supermarket fare, I got mine from a
local hothouse (mine aren't ready to pick yet.)

I would love them, I would eat them like an apple :)

They are a bit large for that and if garden fresh, whoudlend u dripping
down your chin and staining your shirt.  Make sure you remove said shirt
before attempting to eat one.  It's much easier to clean off skin than
shirt, which is why I always fed my babies in the summer just in their
diapers(nappies).

They're not quite as bad as mangos.  The only way to eat a mango is to
get naked and sit in your bathtub...  ;)

And I could stretch that to beef-steak tomatoes!

I didn't have time for all that complexity after we'd been shopping,
gardening, taken mother to the podiatrist, gone to the nursery to buy
plants, walked on the heath and watered the garden.

Just stuck a big hunk of rump steak in a pan of olive oil and black
pepper, browned it on both sides, put it under the grill to finish and
boiled some asparagus. There were meant to be mushrooms if I hadn't
forgotten to buy them.

Washed down with some Riocha/Tempranillo and I even had a chunk of
wholemeal bread with unsalted Dutch butter.

Pudding was a square of 85% dark chocolate.

I could almost get used to this.

It doesn't come across so funny on Usenet, though. I'm not so sure he
doesn't mean it about *liking* getting drunk & annoying people. And then
getting further enjoyment from bragging about it.

Man, I almost wished I lived in Florida. I bet it would be a blast to drink
some cat-piss beer and pop some Lyrica with you John. As long as I didn't
have to watch you dance naked or anything.
