Women go great with grills! You just don't want to overcook them, the
meat is tender enough. ;)
Mothers Day I made some extra thick Rib-eyes, marinated-sauteed
'shrooms, fresh green beans with bacon and toasted sesame, some tasty
beef-steak tomatoes, and some purple spuds roasted in olive oil and
roasted garlic. I took my shot and didn't spike at all (the Cab-sav
probably helped.) ;)
For dessert I took fresh strawberries the day before and macerated
them with the juice of a lime and some Splenda. I sprinkled the angel-
food cake with Godiva liqueur, topped it with the strawberry sauce and
a dollop of extra creamy cool-whip (I left the cream off of mine.)
Not a perfect diabetic meal by any means, but close enough so we could
have a very nice meal and it didn't affect me too badly.

They're a type that are big huge ones. Good for slicing on sandwiches.

Not only large, but firm-fleshed and with a rich flavor. They are
great when quartered and served with a bit of salt and pepper next to
your steak. I can't vouch for the supermarket fare, I got mine from a
local hothouse (mine aren't ready to pick yet.)

I would love them, I would eat them like an apple :)

They are a bit large for that and if garden fresh, whoudlend u dripping
down your chin and staining your shirt. Make sure you remove said shirt
before attempting to eat one. It's much easier to clean off skin than
shirt, which is why I always fed my babies in the summer just in their
diapers(nappies).

They're not quite as bad as mangos. The only way to eat a mango is to
get naked and sit in your bathtub... ;)

And I could stretch that to beef-steak tomatoes!

I didn't have time for all that complexity after we'd been shopping,
gardening, taken mother to the podiatrist, gone to the nursery to buy
plants, walked on the heath and watered the garden.
Just stuck a big hunk of rump steak in a pan of olive oil and black
pepper, browned it on both sides, put it under the grill to finish and
boiled some asparagus. There were meant to be mushrooms if I hadn't
forgotten to buy them.
Washed down with some Riocha/Tempranillo and I even had a chunk of
wholemeal bread with unsalted Dutch butter.
Pudding was a square of 85% dark chocolate.
I could almost get used to this.
