It s a win win situation. Sell them food and then treat them for the illness that results.

It remains much smarter to simply eat less, down to the right amount and escape the slaughter:

The general advise given is to reduce caloric intake, eat the right foods, and exercise.
2 pounds of food per day, regardless of the type of food, or the size of the person, or the activity level of the individual is stupid advise.

Actually, Chung has admitted on May 4th 2008 that 2 lbs of food per day is not optimal for children. He then tried to waffle out of having admitted it, but it is forever archived on Google Groups. Ignore the article but note where Chung admits the 2 PD is for everyone is bull:

But he does list his MD/PhD credentials when making these claims and he fraudulently claims to have a 2 million dollar guarantee for his diet. He gives out specific advice to individual diabetics and heart patients on the Internet. His medical advice is bad, twisted and may be dangerous to some.
Such dishonesty and fraudulent activity is grounds for losing one's medical license in Georgia. Be very certain that the Georgia Medical Board investigators are watching what Chung has to say to the public these days. This sort of advice is considered to be practicing medicine and giving medical advice, even if done over the Internet. Physicians who identify themselves as such on the Internet can be held to the same standards of needing to practice up to minimum medical guidelines and community standards in this medium as in other places such as the office or clinics.
I am documenting the post in which he contradicted his heretofore dogmatic and persistent insistence that 2 lbs of food per day was the correct amount for everyone on the planet, regardless of size, weight, age, activity or medical conditions.

Chung does use his MD/PhD and is listed in the Medical Georgia State Board and looking him up on the yellow pages on the Internet, all show the same information about his office as does his web pages.
Chung's theology views are certainly unusual, but not that much more than some others expressed on SMC.
His 2PD Blah Blah is absurd to say the least, but other doctors practice alternative medicine such chelation therapy, mesiotherapy and sell supplements and vitamins in there offices and run spas, so he is a little more out of the mainstream.
Now yamantaka@aol.com says s/he is a board certified internist, but gives nothing to be able to verify it.
So why should a reader to SMC believe an anonymous poster like yamantaka@aol.com over a rather "unusual", and even weird/crazy, doctor when it comes to medical advice.
We all know what Chung is saying is absurd, but for someone who does not realize that, which is really hard to understand unless they are as crazy as Chung, why should they believe yamantaka@aol.com or any of us?
Perhaps if yamantaka@aol.com were to give evidence that s/he is a doctor, and even board certified, his/her posts would carry a little more weight than all the other posts and would show that one doctor disagreed with another doctor and that may give that reader a reason to pause and think and look further.
So, yamantaka@aol.com are you ready to back up your claims which will make your posts far more effective and carry the same weight by having an MD as does Chung's. I would expect not as you want the anonymity as many of us do.
And so it will go on and on and on and ......

he's done it more than once too
oh, he also calls the local police on them
yamantaka will be identified to Andy in the complaint that the Georgia Medical Board recieves, and that is more than sufficient
i'm not sure i would like a crackpot like Chungy to be following me!

I don't want the crazy narcissistic Chung to know my real identity because he has gone whacko on others before and tried to get revenge.
However, I am a member in good standing of Sermo, which is a physicians only website. We can post anonymously there too, but we have all had to give our real identifying info to the site and to be verified and vetted by the Sermo site administration. I can use Sermo to vouch for me with the Georgia Medical Board. They can verify that I am indeed a licensed physician and a Board Certified Internist whose true identity is known to them. As a recognized entity with over 60,000 US licensed physician members, they have clout and reliability.
Chung was quickly thrown off of Sermo after about two weeks of his nonsense posts. To this day he distorts the reasons why he was thrown off and has fantasies of revenge against Sermo, but as usual Chung is ineffective and impotent. Still, I don't want the whacko to try any shenanigans against me or my family.
Anyone who wants to doubt that I am a licensed, practicing physician and a Board Certified internist remains free to do so and disregard anything I may have to say or killfile me. But I am not about to reveal my actual name or location in this forum anytime soon. Sorry.

the person in question stopped posting to the newsgroups under threat of Ch*ng and another stalker
the police asked this person to 'don't post on the newsgroups, leave this nut case alone' and left it at that.......... obviously the police didn't bring charges against this poster
this poster, in return, reported Ch*ng to the police in Mabelton, and he was informed that they knew Ch*ng is a lunatic, and told this person to please just ignore it because they didn't have the staff to go out and 'deal with him again'
pretty sad when the legal system fails you like this, isn't it!
i know personally of the response by the Mableton police department because i called them myself when Ch*ng was stalking me

1) he is tacitly admitting the bible was wrong in its dietary advice (and that he was too stupid to realize that, for years).
2) he is assuming parents are going to do an adequate job in managing their children's food intake. Many obese children have obese parents who can't mange anything, for anyone.
I don't like it, but the pragmatic reality seems to be that government intervention into the food industry is needed to get rid of the slow poison products that proliferate nowadays.
