First of all, I am zonked! Have slept this entire day. May I use this
opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words of thoughtfulness. If I
can get to them individually, surely I will, but I just want each of you to
know your messages mean so much to me.
Now, I have the surgical report - the full, correct one - from Jim to send
to you:
"The surgeon cut 3 holes in my tummy (one of them looks like a second belly
button) and inserted the laparoscopic cameras. He saw something that he
doesn't know what it is, i.e., a mass, an infected area, etc. The other
doctors didn't know what it was either. He stopped the surgery at that
point because he said that if he gone any further, he could not have
stopped. And, if it was some kind of infection, he could spread it and
cause a lot of problems. They showed it to Pathology - they didn't know
what it was, but didn't think it was anything cancerous - they are testing
it. I will have a CT scan, and see the doctor in about a week. Hopefully,
by then they will have figured out what it is and how to treat it. Then he
will know about re-scheduling my prostate surgery.
I am very sore and weak. I have had some problems with nausea, but I am now
able to eat some soup, crackers, and applesauce. I will be staying with Jim
and Donnie for 2 or 3 days. Donnie is taking really good care of me. Their
cat Felix has stuck with me since I got here - he goes where I go - he slept
with me last night."
Now, you know as much as I do. *s*
Till later

Isn't it fascinating how cats do this? Uncanny even.
I know it's frustrating for y'all to be part, to have to wait, and all of
that, but really it is so good NOT to be opened up with something unknown
going on inside the torso!

Like you, Jim's got grit!
I hope the tests turn out well, so the doctors can proceed and you can both
get this behind you.
Take care.

Nick. Support severely wounded and disabled Veterans and their families!
I've known US vets who served as far back as the Spanish American War. They

Hey don't sweat it, I doubt anyone here would expect a personal reply
considering your circumstances.
Also do bear in mind that there are plenty of people thinking of you
even if we don't lways follow up your ongoing saga.

Sounds like a "good news, bad news" scenario, hope it gets resolved
soon, and with more of the former and less of the latter
