I need the words of an Endocrinologist

I have an immediate family member who was diagnosed with Type 1
diabetes.  I need an Endocrinologist to attest to these findings and
provide me with some proof that I can give to my family (if you can
sign off as an Endocrinologist that would be helpful, too):

"I've been an Endocrinologist for ___ years and in my profession I've
found that 1) a loss of appetite is a symptom of diabetes and is not
an eating disorder 2) Weight loss, in Type 1 diabetic patients, is
related to a loss of appetite 3) Type 1 diabetes is not caused by the
intake of fast food, junk food, or sweets, and 4) Many cases of
diabetes are misdiagnosed and, therefore, may not be immediately
treated.

Well, you're not going to find one here!  Are there none in your area?

I have been a practicing medical doctor for 13 years and in my
profession I have witnessed that a loss of appetite (anorexia) is a
symptom associated with many life-threatening conditions including
diabetic ketoacidosis of Type-1 diabetic patients but also starvation
ketosis of patients with the eating disorder of anorexia nervosa.
Dying patients are anorexic.  When there is unintentional weight loss
in any patient, there should be suspicion of anorexia.  Neither Type-1
nor Type-2 diabetes is caused by fast food, junk food, or sweets.
Type-1 diabetes is caused by auto-immune destruction of the insulin-
producing (beta islet) cells of the pancreas. Type-2 diabetes is
caused by visceral adipose tissue (VAT) leading to ever greater
insulin resistance (IR/MetS) outstripping the waning insulin output of
a deteriorating pancreas.  Type-1 diabetes is easily diagnosed at
hospitalization so that treatment is immediately started.  Type-2
diabetes onset is often missed so that treatment is not immediately
started.

Are people who eat to satiety or who are not usually hungry but have no
symptoms of disease and/or low amounts of VAT necessarily dying or
unhealthy?

Mr Chang, how come then in 13 years you do not appear to know the difference
between "ketosis" and "ketoacidosis?  Endo has never been your forte, has
it, Mr Chang?

Why can't the person who diagnosed them correct any misconceptions people
might have?

if your family member was actually diagnosed by a doctor then it is
official, no need to fish on the net.

If there is anyone who needs confirmation they should ask the diabetic
for confirmation.  If you can't believe what the say about their own
medical condition and diagnosis you have problems we can't help with.

If they are type 1, they are injecting insulin right now.  If they are
type 1 and not taking insulin they are in the process of dying.
