Oh, boy. For me it is hunch down in another snow storm predicted to last
at least 3 days-- 2 storms, one from the Arctic and one coming across
Washington State and up through Montana, we are in the middle. Not sure
what to eat tonight, soup maybe. I have a cold that is gradually
spreading from the chest up to the nose, ears and sinuses. Tomorrow it
will be full blown.
Hey, Cheri! Is it still very hot down where you are? My flight to San D.
is Saturday.
Hey, % go easy on all that good grub, you are making me hungry.

Hey, good for you. Are you getting any signs of spring up there other
than birds returning? We have had hundreds of swans on nearby lakes and
ponds. Just saw another bunch flying north today.
Our trees are at the budding stage, this moisture will do a lot of good.
Tulips are up and ready to pop in about a week.
Wish you well,
Lorna

It's cooled a bit, was only about 72 yesterday, and the wind kicked up
in the afternoon. I have been removing a tree slowly but surely, and
finished yesterday thankfully. It really gets hot in the San Joaquin
Valley and will really be heating up by next month. Have a great trip
Lorna, and I do envy your snow. My friends in Walla Walla Washington
were expecting snow as well, and had to call and tell me. LOL

I've been in Walla Walla, Washington. That is where they grow those
marvellous sweet onions. I am always impressed with the names of the
places such as Humptulips and Pwyallup (can't spell it never mind say
it). We have experienced some desert heat in the US and found that it is
very much the opposite of our winters. We stay indoors with a furnace to
keep warm and they stay indoors with air conditioners to keep cool.
I can imagine it getting hot down in a valley. Good for grapes though.
Cheer up %, spring will come.

It's Puyallup, pronounced  Pue-al-up with the accent on the first syllable.
And yes, I live here. It's a tribal name after the local indians.

Yesterday I had to drive about 100 miles north and back and there were three
occasions where the snow was coming so hard visibility was limited to about
a half block. Luckily it just wasn't sticking but still..... traffic was . .
. interesting.

Thanks:
I remember a young boy on a ferry going over to Westport from Ocean
Shores trying to help me to say what you wrote above. My attempts
sounded more like Pile Up! The kid was amused.
We are into our second round of snow, another storm to come tonight.

It gets WARM in the Valley, if you want HOT cross the Sierra's into
the Mojave Desert (although today it's pretty cool with the winds, 50
deg F)  ;)

We did about 5 years ago. Went drove across the desert to Barstow, over
to Desert Hot Springs, down to Joshua Tree?... forgotten ...and back
across the desert and up to Needles, California. It was HOT and DRY! I
wish we could do that again.

I've coached softball for 25 years.  We travel to Barstow and the
likes for our High School games.  Our travel ball teams used to travel
as far as Needles in the summer.  Hot and muggy then.  We are on the
west side of Death Valley.  Hot and dry and windy.  :/

The food police were ready to arrest you if you ate that third peice
of that excellent pizza. Have you ever been able to try Pizza Hut's
thin crust pizza? I can eat more of that without spiking. It's really
good too.

IMO You're better off for that. The last one I got from them sucked!
Never more.

I've known US vets who served as far back as the Spanish American War. They
are all my heroes! Thank a Veteran and Support Our Troops. You are not
forgotten. Thanks ! !             ~Semper Fi~

I used to feel that way too. However, they are one of the few with
thin crust pizzas, so I like them now. I can eat 3 or 4 peices without
spiking.
