To me this is great  waste but necessary when a
few for no good reason pounced on me.    Others
may take it and I will for a while.  Finally  I will
become a bull dog.  If you do not like my post do
not read them.

The great use of personal attacks here  mandates
a few counter attacks.  A few are too comfortable
here setting at a computer 24/7 and doing nothing
but gossip or nitpick.

At least one here does not have diabetes. That type
is bored by diabetes.   Their motive????

The computer becomes their whole world and it
shows.

End this by ignoring Guy.

Kind of hard to ignore you when YOU are the one attacking people.  You've
done it to Beav, Donna and then Mack.  I don't know who you are talking
about who doesn't have diabetes.  And I know better than to ask.  You
wouldn't tell  me anyway.
guys@consolidated.net - 27 Mar 2008 05:44 GMT
Julie,  just get normal and end this.    Get away from the tube for a
while.  Then use care before you insult or blast anyone. Other
people have the right to not be insulted.  Correct the idea, not the
person. Iinsults hurt others just as a few I have insulted tonight.
People that pass it out should be prepared to accept their own
medicine.

I AM normal.  Or as normal as I am going to get.  I do not watch TV too
much.  I can use my computer whenever I want.  I didn't ask you for advice.
I don't insult or blast people.  YOU insulted people.  You.  You.  Look back
over what you wrote.  This all started with you insulting Beav and comparing
him to another poster, saying he was not as good as the other poster.

By the way,  I am in the process  of copying old vhs tspes to CD.
Some of the tspes are brittle but are history going bsck to the
early 80's.   I worked here between tapes.   I do what I need to do.

Then the telephone rang several times with auto warranty, health
insurance. burial sites and a  house mortgage loan scam.

Some here are too serious. skio it and get some sleep.

It's too early to sleep.  I will probably be up for about another 5 hours.

Guy, you need caller ID, or list your number on the "do not call"
list. Here's the link to register and it really does cut down on
unwanted calls. www.donotcall.gov/ HTH.

I was told it could take a couple months for people who already had me on
their lists to stop ringing me. Instead it worked immediately! Best thing I
ever did.

Me too Jan. Between the home office, and the regular phone, they were
driving us absolutely crazy. I have a caller ID that I bought at Radio
Shack a long time ago, and if I add a number to the reject list, it
cuts them off at 1 1/2 rings, so the sales people that ignore the "do
not call" list, are forever trapped and labeled "rejects." ;-)

Actually, I go along with Guy. I am so sick and tired of some people,
specifically Julie, whining about everything. I can't do this, I can't
eat that, poor me etc etc. my poor child, my mean husband, and so on and
so on. I have read nothing positive in the 2-3 years I have followed
this group.

Obviously she has a lot of time to spare to send one-liners to the
group. Maybe the time would be better spent in improving her homelife,
and looking at the positive things in life. Maybe volunteer somewhere.

I am so heartily sick of younger people being so durned negative. With
age you realise that positivism is the ONLY way to go.

Be brave, and seal your needles in a milk bottle......unless you know
there is something bad with you.

I REALLY have bottled this up, and like upchucking, I feel better for
being honest.

What?  My poor child?  Poor me?When did I ever say that?  You obviously do
not read all of my posts if you think that's all I say.  And you didn't read
the other posts in response to this.

No thanks.  I don't like unasked for advice!  :)

Younger people?  I  am not so young.

I don't have a milk bottle.  We don't drink milk.  And  do you want me to
get fined?  Doing so is illegal here.  I already said that you MUST use an
approved sharps container here.

Must suck to be you then.  :)

Actually, given Julie's problems, I'm often astonished by how positive
she can be! I've just given up discussing diet with her, it's clear
that what works for her is just not going to work with me, and vice
versa.

I hope Ch*ng doesn't qualify.  She/he/it deserves to be ignored when
she/he/it needs help.

You know, I think this is the best advice Guy has given in a long, long
time---ignore him. There used to be a time, which now seems an eternity ago,
when Guy had excellent advice, something never to be missed. But it seems to
me that Guy either has the beginnings of dementia or is severely depressed
or both. So if everyone just ignores him and doesn't fuss over what he does
or does not want to say, the problem should correct itself. Eventually, he
will get tired of talking to himself. JMO.

I always read his posts, but I've been trying not to respond as often.
Trying, not always succeeding, but trying. I've really no wish to
upset him further, since I do believe he's not physically well at this
time. :-)

Yes, I've concluded that ignoring him is the kindest response.

I am positive that I am not the only one that
has been doing just that for months now.

I will take the word of others that Guy
was once a valued contributor to
this group but in my two years here
I have not seen it.

That said, I wish Guy the very best.
