FBG was 83. Dinner was thin sliced hot Hungarian salame and half a beet,
buttered and sliced. One hour post prandial was 124. Beets are sweet.

I've known US vets who served as far back as the Spanish American War. They
are all my heroes! Thank a Veteran and Support Our Troops. You are not

I was satisfied with it, Wendy. Sorry if this offends anyone, but when my
wife saw my post beet urine in the toilet bowl, she thought I was bleeding!

LOL

well, one morning, i caught my dog peeing, and it was BRIGHT RED, so i
immediately called the vets and booked an emergency appt with them

i drove 1/2 way to the vet............ and then i remembered....... the
dog had got into the garbage and he ate all the beet skins the night
before :)

i turned around, came home and called to vet to say 'false alarm'......
they had a good laugh when i explained what had happened :)

Silly, isn't it - gets me every time - I start to think "Oh! That's
not right.." then mentally slap my forehead : )  It goes through the
guinea pigs too...

My wife chastises me for that. I can't bring myself to waste 1.6 gallons of
water for three or four ounces of pee.

Looks like if you happen to get a urinary tract infection (UTI), you
want her to get it too.

Not very likely. She flushes the toilet before and after use. ;-)

So where does that leave your conservatism?

Not so much conservatism as cheapness. To be more precise. I'm home all day
and my diuretics (Lasix and Allopurinol taken in the morning) cause my to
urinate frequently during the day. When my wife gets home at night is when
she does the pre-pee flush.

This has been OT long enough for me. I'm outta this thread.
