To those of you who have health insurance through your job, a
bioethicist and an economist pose this question: Who do you think pays
for your health coverage?
Most people who get insurance at work believe that its the boss. But
the notion that employers really pay for insurance for their employees
simply isnt true.

When you work you pay for all. Some poor soul had to bolt on the car
door you use. There is no free insurance, you paid for it or someone
else paid for it.
In my case I worked and paid in for over 55 years. Now I am a leach
and produce some but not much. It won't last much longer.
But every bite I eat was from someones labor. I still grow a garden
but most comes from a store paid for partly by my savings, but the
social security.does pay for part. But again I paid into that program
since 1945. That money in numbers was worth ten times more.
I used to advocate that economics should be taught starting in the
fifth grade The "I do not pay for health care" is so wrong. The
cost is hidden in so many ways.
Sooner ot later, diabetes will eat your lunch

Nothing is free. Insurance is no different in that regard than anything
else. Health insurance is paid for by the employees (either directly or
indirectly) and the employer's customers. The money has to come from
somewhere.
