Since, manna is described as tasting like wafers made from honey with the color of coriander seed, it likely had a consistency similar to snow flakes so that there would be a problem with settling if indeed an omer were a volume measure. Later for other things, especially grain, the omer may have been changed to a volume measure. For ready-to-eat foods such that manna was and is, weight measures remains standard to this day. Therefore, it logically follows from this discussion, that an omer of manna was a weight measure and that an omer of ready-to-eat foods would be a weight measure. It is not by chance but by GOD that the numbering of Exodus 16:16 reminds us that 16 oz plus 16 oz is 2 pounds, because nothing happens by chance but everything by GOD as it is written in Proverbs 16:33. Lets look at what Chung says. According to the Bible, God rained down manna and the instructions were for an omer per day per person - that was an omer by VOLUME not weight of manna, not food. Changing it to a weight of food is done by Chung not God. So you have to assume that the 2 pounds of food a person will take a day, which works for all people, is the same as God's manna. There are references to the availability of milk and meat from the livestock with which they traveled, and the references to provisions of fine flour, oil, and meat, in later parts of the journey in the journey so God did not give instructions of using that as food so food was available if that was God's choice. Again the decision to use food is Chung's not God's. So you have to assume that the 2 pounds of food a person will take a day, which works for all people, is the same as God's volume, an omer, of manna. Now lets look at Exodus 16:16. Numerology takes numbers, or the number of letters in a word, and uses mathematics to come to a result which proves something, in this case 32 ounces or 2 pounds. Well, in the time of Moses they did not use ounces and pounds and in most of the world today they use the grams and kilograms so in most of the world it is meaningless. Now I am sure Chung will say he is doing God's work just as many others in the world say they are doing God's work to justify what they do. But the real truth is, no one, no man, woman or child knows exactly what God wants done and need to be very leery when an human man, human woman or human child claims to know what God wants.
