Is Nutrisystem real food? 11 bucks a day 4 week plan with 2 weeks free.
Looks like lots of carbs to me.

I have a friend (on insulin) who is doing Nutrisystem. She lost about
thirty pounds in the first few months, but she hasn't mentioned any
numbers lately, so I think her fear about the cookies in the lounge
are coming true. She doesn't low-carb, and their "diabetic" option
didn't seem particularly low-carb to me.
I see her having several problems with Nutrisystem. First is that you
still have to buy your fresh veggies, etc., which makes it even more
expensive. Also, she's not learning how to eat. If she goes out to
dinner, she's screwed and doesn't know what to do.
She has told me that she's been asking herself if she can really do
this for the rest of her life. I would imagine not -- but there's no
"maintenance" plan. Personally, I'm too cheap to try it. ;-)

I tried it many, many years ago, before diabetes, when they had an
office here in town. I thought the food was ghastly, but lots might
have changed since then.

I know some people who went on that diet. The cheese is fake. There are a
lot of chemicals in the food. You are expected to buy supplements from
them. And then you also have to buy "real" food such as fresh vegetables to
make salad.
The people I know did lose weight on the diet but quickly grew sick of the
limited menu. When they returned to their old way of eating they also
quickly regained the weight.

That is about what I have noticed with some of my friends, also,

They have a diabetes food plan. I bought a 4 week package and when we
where traveling in our motor home it was great. I just gave the high
carb breakfasts to DH. :)
Most of the food tastes OK, it's better than letting yourself get so
hungry you eat the wrong food.
