Perhaps my doctor thinks I'm lying. It suddenly dawned on me why my own fbg
testing shows an acceptable (and remaining consistent) improvement while the
lab tests don't (so much).
At home - I eat, go to bed, wake up 8 hours later and test... down from
120-130 a year ago to a consistent 95-99 now.
At lab - I eat, go to bed, wake up 8 hours later, fool around getting ready
to go, drive to lab and by the time blood is actually being drawn it has
been 10-11 hour from bite to stick. Test shows 115-120... liver dumping,
right?

Sounds like it could be that, John.... Maybe you ought to try for an earlier
appointment. When do you go in? I normally go in around 8:00 A.M. when I
have blood drawn.

I dad a similar occurance John and my doc was not all that disturbed
by my similar numbers. In my case It was after 4:00 p.m., I had fasted
nearly 18 hours. I told my doc I was drinking black coffee all day
long and he did not care. I have to go get an a1c blood draw and he
told me not to worry about fasting.

Very possibly - what does your A1C test show?

Aaaargh : ) Yeah, likely. Do you have the kind of quack who won't
look at your pp logs? Why haven't you had an A1c?
Nicky.

I've been consistently testing in the mornings before lab and it's typically
1-2 hours before my blood is drawn, and the score is consistently 10 points
higher in the lab than in my meter test. I was told that was typical.
