Hello friends,

Here is an interesting article about a report that came out today from the
President's Cancer Panel urging a substantial change in governmental
policies that favor unhealthy patterns of food production and consumption
and to place a new emphsis on healthy diets of vegetables and exercise.

It looks like the American Carb Council lost this round.....

Government policies are a disgrace. We have high carb diets mostly because
carbs can be made into a commodity like oil, owned and sold by huge
businesses or governments, ground up, processed, even sent though pipelines.
We've succeeded in doing a bit of this to animals, but most vegetables have
posed a bigger challenge.

Health (and the environment) are the victims.
