I managed to get online in the hospital!!!
Had another "full hospital admission" where I had to spend the night in the
ER overflow room. It really was not too bad; nice seeing the staff again I
had before, and having the one on one service. Got my first infusion there
Monday night. The pharmacy got it all messed up, though, and told them to
run it for six hours instead of ten hours, and it gave me the unwanted side
effects which I was not having prior to the infusion. Even with my doctor
spelling out the directions on orders, they did it again on this second
infusion - I refused to take it like that, and I had a good nurse, and I am
getting it at the right pace. It is from you all that I am learning to
speak up for myself in the hospital!! lol Even for non-diabetic things!!!
Just looking out for number uno!
I felt better going into this treatment than any of the previous ones, so I
am feeling very optimistic about this one. About half way through a bag, I
begin to "feel" it, so I get something for the pain. That only last a few
hours afterwards, and yesterday/this morning I did really well.... no pain
at all. Could see better / no diplopia / ptosis better. Arm/leg strength
not a big improvement, but that's okay; have diabetic neuropathy
complicating that. Will have the gastric emptying done while I am here so
we do not have to make the trip to Memphis again Monday just for that x-ray.
Yeah!
Still fatigue easily and quickly, so will go for now and start ready posts.
Miss you all and hope you've been being good. Jim has taken to reading
here.... *smile* Says Dr.** posts a lot doesn't he? Told him I will have
to set up a filter for him when I get home. Gee, with him, and then Ashley,
I will have to be on my "p's and q's" from now on. No, I want them to read
here. They need to hear from more than just me.
Hugs
Billie

Oh, yeah......... everyone's out of step except my Johnnie, eh..... make
that Susan, eh? I can just hear the sugar dripping. Go lower carb, Susan,
you're overflowing. he he I'm feeling silly, euphoric.
The doctor was just in, and agrees with my optimism. Says I'm looking
better in all the ways I've noticed. Said some people just take longer to
respond. Agreed that with feeling better at the beginning this time, I'll
probably see better results, and if it continues this way for the next three
treatments, the improvements will improve relatively.
I brought up the falls, thinking they were neurology related, but he said
they were mg related, and I needed someone near me every time I am up. That
big fall, I was not even moving, just standing, then 'plop' (goes fizz,
fizz) down she goes!
And, oh, I feel sooooooooo bad! He was gone all last week because his
father died. While he was talking to me I thought about it, and was waiting
for him to finish to offer my condolences, and guess what.......... in *my*
own excitement, I FORGOT!!! I am mortified!!! What a thoughtless,
self-centered patient!! Lashed with a wet, soggy noodle, then sent to the
corner.
300 cc left to this bag, then I am untethered

You will be in my prayers, dear neighbor Billie whom I love
unconditionally.

All praises and glory belong to GOD, Who makes me able :-)

Sad to read that you believe that Jim needs a filter to keep him from
reading about the truth, Who is LORD Jesus Christ.

Being truthful would have been wise from the outset.

May GOD bless you and them in HIS mighty way making you healthier

You always mind your p's and q's Billie, so no worries there. Glad
you're able to post from the hospital. Take care.
