Hi all!   I am getting a lot of kooky postings on this site!  Really
weird gibberish!  I don't see anyone else complaining or even mentioning
this----am I in the twilight zone, or something?
Am I so electronically challenged that I am totally ignorant & this is
just an ordinary "glitch"?  PLEASE, somebody answer. before the men in
the white coats come knocking at he door!

You'll have to just stop reading my posts. :)

But seriously...I haven't seen anything like what you are describing
here.  But then again, I don't read everything posted here.

Are they cross-posted to sci.crypt?  Most of the gibberish postings I'm
seeing today are cross-posted there once or twice.

They are also posted to a couple of other groups I read, including one
moderated one.

One wonders how these people get their kicks...

I got 2 or 3 of these postings just before Will posted his warning re Idiot
Postings. For some reason (lucky me) I have never had another one. I hope I
haven't just jinxed myself. :-)

correct and they all come from the same ISP in Greece, a
school(university).

Actually Will complained and the response was that they are some sort of
bot.  I don't see most of them.  Have only seen a couple and I checked those
only because that person was in my kill-file.

If you know how to use your kill-filter, enter:
"Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD" <andrew@emorycardiology.com>
This should stop most of the gibberish that you see.........

actually don't include the email address as that troll changes his
return email address in his posts in a failing attempt to circumvent
kill files.  Just filter by "Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD" and nothing
else.  Then it won't matter what email address he changes to.

I've found that even MD/PhD is enough; there aren't any
others I know using that.

I've seen those here, and a whole bunch on a bi-polar (or is it psych
meds?) group I'm on. It's a random troll, using a bot to take
names/emails of regular posters, and post gibberish under their name.
just ignore them. I do.

I mentioned it to abuse@cox.net (or whatever the ISP was) with the full
header and message from two of the messages. I suggest you do the same.
