Brilliant results Sally.
For US readers, on the assumption that LDH=LDL and HDH=HDL
then the cholesterol numbers are:
LDH=LDL:1.03=40mg/dl
HDH=HDL:2.21=85mg/dl
Sally, I'd query that glucose result, because that sort of
error throws the other results into question too. If you are
on any cholesterol lowering meds, such as a statin, you
might want to ask the doc whether there is still a need. I'm
not an expert but my gut feeling is that I wouldn't want LDL
much lower than that. Susan might like to comment there.
Was a trigs number included?

I wonder if those numbers are treated?
LDL of 40 is way too low to support adrenal function.
Folks usually don't know that all of our adrenal hormones are made from
LDL cholesterol. Adrenal hormones include all of our sex hormones, such
as testosterone and estrogen. They also include the hormones that
regulate immunity, inflammation and electrolyte balance in our bodies.
There's such a thing as too low when it comes to LDL.

Hi Alan, thanks for answering (everyone else too). The doctor's office
was really busy today (I couldn't get through to them for over 20
minutes of constant trying) and when I talked to the nurse she had to
call me back and left the results that I posted on our machine. I am
sure that she transposed the 3.59 from 5.39 for the FBS (that is what
my meter read- 5.7). I had other tests done but didn't get the results
on the phone. I will try getting them verified and it is possible that
the doctor has not seen them yet. He is pretty good about calling if
results are out of range.
I take crestor 10mg/day and have for a couple of years, also altace
10m and ASA 81mg.
Thanks again for your input.
Sally
