Just for fun I cut up hot dogs to look like an octopus. It was an interesting presentation and the kids I did it for thought they were fun. Since there's no bun, this version is diabetic-friendly. And have you seen the molds to shape hard boiled eggs into fish, cars, stars, bunnies...? Eggs are also diabetic friendly. Oh brave new world that hath such gadgets in it :-) I would need an extension to my kitchen to accommodate all of the gadgets I see in foodie magazines. Recently we moved to a much smaller house and I had to be ruthless in culling my belongings.
