Dr. Bernstein on... painting!

I picked up one of Dr. Bernstein's recent books in a bookstore to take
a look-see, and opened immediately to a section relating physical
activity to bg regulation.

He mentions two type 1's who are professional painters and have to
regularly eat large chunks of carbs (he mentions something like half a
muffin or a big chocolate cookie every hour).

This coincides with my attempts as an amateur house painter (my own
house). Doing 8 or 10 hours of painting requires extreme and
continuous attention to my bg's and usually results in me eating very
large quantities of carbs to keep my bg's up even if I proactively cut
my insulin shots beforehand.

I knew that Dr. B had lots of little tidbits that corresponded
directly to the things I do either everyday or occasionally, but never
knew that he'd zero in on painting so precisely!

It is said that the things that jump out at us in what we read etc are meant
for us :)

Nothing happens by chance (Proverbs 16:33).

Well, today's most resonating thing was a cartoon sent by my SIL,
saying "The reason for a tidy house is a broken computer" :D
