Better experience with my mail-order pharmacy

I complained here earlier this year about my insurance company's mail-
order pharmacy (CIGNA Tel-Drug).

They had supposedly "upgraded" their pharmacy software somewhere in
late winter and for the next 4 or 5 months every order placed
disappeared for more than a month before it was even acknowledged.
They apologized very profusely for the delays, but still having a
computer upgrade result in a month's delay was just simply beyond
comprehension. It was a major pain-in-the-rear, especially as under my
particular insurance plan the only way to get more than one months
supply of anything was to do it by mail order.

But my last order consisted of five renewed prescriptions I snail-
mailed in on a Friday. One week later, a big cardboard box filled with
all the goodies (and a cold-pack in a mini styrofoam cooler for the
insulin) was delivered by UPS next-day-delivery. So I'm moving them
back to the "highly recommended" list.

I wish Express-Scripts could/would get with the program.  So far they
have screwed up EVERY order - without exception - I have given them
and some of the refills.
Bad enough that they are incompetant, but they lie to me as well
(claiming on more than one occasion that an order had shipped when it
hadn't even been filled yet, giving me invalid shipper numbers...)

The 10mg Lizard-Spit Approach is not a diet.
It does help people manage their Diabetes Mellitus (DM) possibly
preventing long-term complications resulting from poor control.
Bottom line: It remains wise to be peanut-free.

I think my previous insurance carrier used Express Scripts. I never
had any big problem with them.

One thing I've noticed: Any prescription for anything other than a
pill, is hard to put into a computer, whether it be my Dr's laptop,
the insurance company's website, the computer on the desk at the
neighborhood pharmacy, whatever. This means that syringes, strips,
insulin, etc., all are likely to get screwed up at any step, not due
to any malice, but purely due to the fact that they aren't just pills.

My doctor, my local pharmacy, & my insurance m.o pharmacy don't seem to have
any problem. The entry is for x00 strips. This has been with more than one
doctor, more than one pharmacy, and more than one m.o. pharmacy. Maybe your
place(s) need to update their software?

I also got a vet rx for xx needles & xx bags of solution that I got m.o. for
my dog. That order (& vet auth.) was by phone, but they didn't have a
problem with it or with my renewals.

I don't know, maybe they changed management or something before we
started using them.  I understand that mistakes happen and things
sometimes go wrong.  A decent-quality business will own up to the
problem and set about fixing it, and make the customer as happy as
they can.
By sharp contrast, Express-Scripts gives me shipping tracking numbers
that do not exist, claiming that the package went out two days ago
while it is sitting there, unfilled, because they never bothered to
call me or the doctor to confirm the spelling of my name (or something
equally trivial).

Errors, even in judgement, I understand.  Dishonesty I have a HUGE
problem with.
