Fantastic Loretta. Congrads

That took some hard work as you said and dedication.

You are a bigshot.  Congrats, Loretta.  You prove that working hard
and being aware can pay huge dividends.  Hopefully some of those
friends you have lunch with will see what you've done and follow
suit. :)  In tribute to you I am going to watch my portion sizes
today!

Thanks Kurt,  You know the old story, walk a horse to water and cant
make them drink.  One of those friends is now in the hospital with a
stroke and a heart attack after thirty years of neglecting her
diabeties.

Excellent.  I've lost about 10 lbs since I started the Byetta.  It was
all in the first month, though, and I have stabilized since then.

I'm finding that the Byetta is helping with appetite in the sense that
I don't feel the need for in-between meal snacks like I used to, but my
regular meal portions are about the same.  It's not really helping at
all with the BGs, though, and looks like I'll be starting insulin soon.
Loretta Eisenberg - 27 Apr 2007 20:01 GMT
I am sorry to hear that the Byetta is not working for your bgs.
Truthfully, I was surprised that my a1c was   5.7 which is about the
range I am always in.

I'm disappointed about the Byetta not working, too, as I liked the
other benefits it provides.  Oh well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Congratulations!
(you might want to let the doctor know it wasn't a *fasting* bg, though, so
he won't get the wrong idea about it....)
