Back in the kitchen

I've been off the net for awhile. I'm attending a series of classes at the
local Fire Department that have occupied my spare time for a couple of
months.
We had the final exercises a few days ago, including working in a burning
building. My adrenalin (and testosterone) levels are back within normal
range now so I'm back in the kitchen creating new recipes. The latest
contribution is a lightened Cajun rice that was quite successful. The recipe
is posted on A.F.D. or at  www.bigoven.com/recipe162983

Otherwise, I'm still in control and doing well.

That's great Pete. I've missed your recipes, and will definitely try
the Cajun rice. Susans' recipe using the cauliflower and one small
potato was quite good, and I'm sure yours will be too. Take care. :-)

Nice to hear from you Pete. I may even try that - but
despite 9g per serve I'll be wary until my meter confirms
it:-)

I have Cajun spices in a bottle - but what exactly is in the
mix if I wanted to make my own?

G'day G'day Pete,

Great to see you posting.  Your post would make a delightful
comprehension exercise for some of my students.

1.  Was Pete teaching the off duty firemen how to cook?

2.  Did Pete set fire to the local Fire Department building when
making his flambe special?

3.  Has Pete lost a few inches around his waist working out at the
Fire Station gym?  (10 pound of belly fat is all it takes so they say
for the nasty enzyme aromatase to convert testosterone to a highly
potent form of estrogen.)

Whatever.  Great to see you posting.

Best wishes,
