I recently came into a relationship with a very "active" lady. My meds are
causing some problems when it comes to playtime. I am considering a request to
my Dr for some help. Can anyone give me some advice on which of these two meds
would be more beneficial??? Also, are there any other ways to make things more
pleasurable for the both of us.....say herbal help????

I am not going into the pleasuring part, but this is a subject matter to
discuss with your doctor.  How is your heart.

You'd be more comfortable with John Cleese, Michael Palin or
Kevin Kline? :-))

The one that gives you Priapism.

Wow -- that sounds like a lot of fun at "playtime."

Wanda Fish:

Viagra works for me. Sometimes it works well, other times less so.

A friend has used both Cialis and Viagra and says Cialis didn't last any
longer for him than Viagra.

On the downside, Viagra gives me head cold symptoms. Another friend gets
headaches plus the stuffy nose. The side effects last about as long as the
intended effect.

Lately, I've come to dislike the side effects so much, that I've stopped
using it.

I was wondering if things had changed since this first came out.

Sweetie offered a few years ago to try something like this.  But I had
heard and read some scary things about the side effects.  The way our
luck runs, he'd be one of the statistics.  It's just not worth it.

I don't have a lot of faith in doctors, and I don't want to trade my
best friend for a roll in the hay.  :-)

I could be wrong, and I'm certainly no MD - as I understand the ED problem
is related to neuropathy. Have you tried: B12 + Folic acid and Alpha
Lipoic acid? They seem to have helped my neuropathy somewhat.

I find Cialis the best by far. The effects last 5 days for me, so one
tablet a week is fine.

I HAVE USED BOTH.  100 MG VIAGRA ON AN EMPTY STOMACH IS BEST BY
FAR...THIS IS THE MAX DOSAGE.

I TRIED 20 MG CIALIS WHICH IS ALSO MAX AND IT WAS NOT AS GOOD AS
VIAGRA.

I NOW PURCHASE VIAGRA ON LINE FOR 2.00 BUCK A PILL BEST I HAVE FOUND.

SAME AS REGULAR IMHO.

HOPE THIS HELPS

As long as we are on the subject, sort of, I have some questions. My
dear hubby and I got very active recently and I found that my blood
sugar took a giant nosedive. For me anything at 75 & below causes the
hypo symptoms, sweating, tremors and such. Because of the um,
activity, I did not notice any of the symptoms and neither did he. We
were resting when I said that I felt weird but couldn't say why. Brain
was jumbled due to activity, sigh, and, as it turns out, low blood
sugar. I started giggling uncontrolably. He said that I could'nt
answer his questions because I giggling do much which also brought on
a severe asthma attack.
Does any one else's blood sugar drop after great sex? Do I have to eat
before enjoying um, er sex? Please don't tell me I am the only one
this happens to!

Michele

This scared me so much I am hesitant to try again!!!

I am not sure if it would happen to me because I am celibate
:) But geez, is it worth it to go low, have the giggles,
have an asthma attack? Lol. Just joking with you but damn
you had a lot of after effects :)
M - 26 Feb 2007 23:29 GMT
I know that was worth everything that happened. Sort of a spiritual
thing. Damn, he is good. I was just really surprised by the huge drop
in Blood sugar (not the asthma attack, this happened before).
We have married for 33 years and still can get it together
occasionally.
I think I will have to eat something slightly carby before or during
this type of activity just to be safe.
Any other opinions?

None other than the bit of extra carb not long before. The
amount depends on you and what you need. I run with my dog
for about 45 minutes early in the mornings, I drink a glass
of tomato juice before I go and I don't feel weak or go
hypo.

Thank you for the advice. I am going have to try to remember to eat
something a little more carby. I hope it helps because I am not ready
to give it up yeat. Maybe later.

Lol, I would rather read a good book these days :) Not that
I haven't enjoyed sex in the past but I feel there is a very
good reason that people lose their libido as they get older.

Lol, no I was thinking more along the lines of having to
slow down a bit as we age, not play around like frisky
rabbits ;) But each to their own, books are great :)

Yes, and yes : )  If I'm planning it, I'll have a snack that's got
both fast and slow carbs in - dried fruit and crackers type thing. A
carton of juice at the bedside might be a good idea too...
