I am a male 35 and married for 13 years. I have posted before that I
have always had a problem with PE. Sex usually lasts 1 minute and
about70-90 strokes.

ANyhow, over the years I have tried everything, creams, doctor's
prescriptions for anti depressents, rings, psychologists visits,
practicing stopping/starting with myself, all to no avail.

My wife does not want to "stop and start" during actual sex because she
does not like it. I try to talk to her about how being quick bothers me
and frankly it does not feel very good to just have sex for a minute.
She really does not want to talk about it. To be truthful, part of me
thinks she likes having power over me in this regard but that is a
different story.

To make a long story short I have been thinking of trying MUSE an
erection aid that is a urethral supository because one of the side
effects it says is "erection may continue after orgasm" I do not have
erection problems although most of the time they are not full erections
and if I dont receive constant stimulation I somtimes lose it.

Anyway my family doctor would call me in a 250 mcg pack to try. (He
thinks I have erections problems, I did not tell him what I was
thinking).

One thing that scares me is it says that rarely priprism can occur and
that you could possible lose the ability to get an erection at all if
this were to happen.

My wife says she does not want me to get any medication and seems
frustrated everytime I talk about it. I told her I reserved the right
and she said "fine"

Anyhow, we do have a good relationship but this PE thing has been
bothering me my whole life and my new years resolution was to make
significant improment in this area this year.

This is a legitimate person with a legitimate problem and I appreciate
any help you can provide!

If part of the problem is your 1 minute or 70/90 strokes is insufficient
to bring your partner to orgasm, can you bring her really close in other
ways and then apply the 1 minute etc.?  Or is she satisfied with that 1
minute etc. and it's your satisfaction which is inhibited?  In that
case, is there activity other than that involving strokes which adds to
your pleasure, in which case that could be a focus and your one minute
be the icing on the cake?  As it were.

[snipped the rest]

Disclaimer:  Not only am I not male, but it's been over 20 years since I
had first hand knowledge of the topic under discussion, so this is
really REALLY theoretical on my part.

The key question is does she have orgasms? Some women get enough pleasure
from sex without achieving orgasms, personally I don't see how. If she
simple don't like sex, giving you 1 minute of pleasure and getting it over
with ASP might be her goal. If you went to a sex therapist alone, the
therapist might have been treating the wrong partner.

Check with the alt.support.impotence newsgroup. Very caring people
with good info. From postings on the newsgroup, MUSE does not seem to
work as well as Trimix and is a little more painful to use.

I understand that viagra slows down premature ejaculation.  I think your
wife is telling you something.  She doesnt care that it is only a
minute.  I dont know how your sex life is, but if its slam bam thank you
maam, she is glad that it is over so soon.

Maybe you two need a sex therapist.  jmo

Get circumcised, that desensitizes the head. When that heals start
masturbating daily. That will increase your endurance. You might also
try masturbating 1 hour before sex. The second orgasm usually takes longer.

Have you tried just slowing down rather than stopping? 70-90 strokes a
minute sounds like a race to me.

Some people would call that an erection problem. But you don't mention
how long you leave between orgasms. The kind of thing thing you
describe above is a well known effect of too much sex.

That does sound scarey. Is this something that only happens with
certain people, so that if it doesn't happen to you the first time you
know you're safe, or it a constant risk you run every time you use it
of being unlucky?

When you say sex usually lasts 1 minute and 70 to 90 strokes, dude that's a
LOT of strokes in 1 minute. It sounds as if you are penetrating her and
immediately banging away wildly at a frantic pace. That can't be any fun for
her, OR you. You say you have tried everything, but frankly, I don't believe
you. In your case, it sounds to me as if some form of surrogate therapy might
be of help, because your own words indicate you never learned how to conduct
the sexual act so that it is mutually satisfying for you and your partner.
Good sex is something most people have to learn how to do.

As for the MUSE, which people have been advising you not to take for months,
in numerous on-topic and off-topic newsgroups, what's the big deal? If you're
that fixated on taking it, go ahead and take it. It might cause priapism,
sure... but life is one big gamble. You go out for a healthy run and you
might get hit by a bus. right? The bigger likelihood is that it will do
absolutely nothing for you except hurt your penis... since most men your age
totally lose interest in sex after they have an orgasm, even if their penis
stays hard for a while. But it's a lot easier to obsess about MUSE being the
miracle cure than it is to take a cold hard look at yourself and deal with
your actual problems.

You and your wife need therapy.

Erectile Dysfunction (inability to sustain erection) is a very common
disorder which most men face in there life at some stage for one reason or
the other like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, fatigue,
stress, physical injuries, certain medication, smoking and alcohol
consumption. The exact reason behind your problem can only be judged by a
specialist and only then one should use the medicines prescribed. You can
have the information on ED and ED related drugs (Viagra, Levitra and Cialis)
on http://www.levitrabliss.com .
Levitra is a FDA approved drug and is used to cure erectile dysfunction in
male. This medicine helps in treating impotency and ED disorders in men
suffering from risky medical conditions like high blood pressure, high
cholesterol and diabetes. This is the reason why this medicine is being
preferred over other impotency medicines. But the results and side effects
may vary from person to person so it’s advisable to use this medicine in
accordance with the instructions of the physician. The best thing one can do
is to consult an urologist, get to the root of the problem and have the
medication prescribed.
