I try to do heavy useful physical work as I can.

I use a shovel setting on a golf cart.

If I have low level of insulin I find I am
as weak as a kitten.  My shovel feels like it
weighs a ton.

When I get the insulin and the blood
glucose at the proper levels the shovel
is like a feather.

I never see this discussed

I can't discuss it because it isn't an issue for me.  I have a very high
level of insulin circulating in my body.  At times I feel like I can feel it
chugging sluggishly through my veins, making me feel very heavy and slow.
Guess we're all different.

I never do any of those things Guy...I walk. That's it. If it's heavy,
or too much for me, I call someone. In this life, it's also good to know
ones limitations. Saves a lot of torn rotor cuffs, bad backs, etc. Hope
you have a healthy new year my friend.

We do differ.  I can't walk or stand.  I would like
to go for long walks.   I now, use several wheel chair
devices and have fought to be able to drag from
one device to the other.

IN 1999 I was expected to bed bound but it was mot
long before I managed to get on a mower, tied myself in
and mowed.

I do so much better when I do useful work. Oh, the warnings.
-----I am still around.

This year I managed to throw down mats and use my chain saw
to remove a few trees.   One did not fall right and almost got me

The whole point is to not vegetate.   If they find me dead in the
field, so be it.

Thanks for pointing that we vary a lot.

But Guy, who untied you and let you loose? :-))

My dad told his neighbour years ago to "Do something" rather than sit around
getting old. He died of boredom not long afterwards. My dad died of being a
miserable bastard, but that's another story :-)

'Kin hell Guy, you live in dangerous times, you do.

And a good point it is too.

The wildlife will get to you first.

I wish I could do that for any distance. I tend to use my arms rather than
my lgs and back. Not for walking though :-)

It's called "Getting a man in" :-)

I've heard that before, but I can never find mine without overstepping them
first:-(

Saves a lot of torn rotor cuffs, bad backs, etc.

Ahhh, torn rotator cuffs. Wonderful things aren't they. Just had the 2nd one
operated on and it's bloody painful. The wounds healed in four days though,
so it's not all doom and gloom.

Hope

I hope we ALL do, except Chump of course.
