Hi All

Came across this; watch for the Wilfrid someone ad. The US
guys probably saw the original.

I'm pretty sure the networks in the US would have switchboard
meltdown if they showed something like that.  No idea whether
the cable channels could get away with it.

That's pretty mild for cable.  Did you ever see an episode of "Queer as
Folk?" (US or BBC, I imagine).

I especially liked the animated feature they sometimes ran after it:
"Queer Duck,"  with companion Openly Gaytor voiced by Harvey Fierstein!

I never got to see QaF over the cable, because I don't pay for the
superpremium channels.  I watched it on DVD.

The US version of QAF and UK version of QAF were two totally different
versions. <G> Just FYI.

But, even at that, it wasn't really mild when they first put it on premium
cable, QAF that is. It turned premium cable upside down. Not a go on
regular, basic, advanced, or any other name for non-premium cable, though.

Yeah, I know, but going by what else I've seen on UK TV shows, the UK
version must have been at least as "raw" (as my elderly mother put it)
as the US version.

Amusing.  However, if that's the "funniest 3:40 seconds" [sic]
then I'm sure glad I didn't waste fifty cents on that movie.
