I hope everything goes well with your son's EEG today. Hugs.

Thanks Ozgirl, we had the EEG today and they said  we will get the results
within a week at the latest.
I think if it were really bad news the Neurologist  would have called by
now, but I could be wrong. He apparently gets the results  sent  to him that
afternoon, but seeing it now the w/end he may not have had time to analyze
them. I have a feeling that it was definitely a hypoglycemic seizure, after
what I have read here, it makes sense. But I would rather investigate it and
rule it out or if it is bad news, to face it head on...

How many seizures did you have before they decded to do the EEG? My son has
had one grand mall and I am not sure if he has had any absent seizures, his
teacher has mentioned odd behavior in the  class room "vaging out"--  I
guess we just have to wait and see....

The tip-off for my nephew's epilepsy was that he had a really hard time
learning to ride a bike. At first it was just put down to dyspraxia, but it
became clear that what was happening was a rapid series of mini-seizures
that cleared his memory - the poor kid had no idea where he was or what he
was doing, and had to start from scratch every few minutes. I can't remember
what drug he was put on, but he was able to come off it a couple of years
ago age 12, with no further seizures.

Wise woman!

I hope the news is good, and that you are correct aobut the hypo being the
cause.  With all these kinds of things is is generally better to make sure
than to just hope and pray.
