In the latest version of John Walsh's "Pumping Insulin" (had the book for
months decided
a few weeks ago to finally thumb through it) I came across a newer
calculation for your
TDD.  Your body weight divided by 4.  Fancy that. I'm spot on. :)

So what?  My TDD is less than my weight/4.  Everyone is going to be a
bit different. Imagine someone with IR.  or someone who overeats and
takes enough insulin to cover all that food.  "Rules" (Like the 1500 and
1800 rules) are just a starting point; nothing more.
