A woman walks into a Police Station and says that she has
been raped by two council workers.

"How do you know they were council workers"? The Cop asked.

"Because I had to do all the work!!!" she replied.

Sorry, but I don't find rape jokes to be funny.

Well you will end up in killfile like I did but at least you may know
why. I don't even know Pete or why I am in his killfile. But that is
another day in the life of ole Di

Thanks Greg, I don't find them funny either being a survivor myself of
rape when I was 17 years old.

Personally, once I've decided that somebody is just going out of their way
to offend, I decide to not listen to them for a while.  Silently.

Another couple of miles down Springer mountain after dinner!

That is a great idea Gary. Thanks :-)

I understand your point, but I learned a long time ago that most people don't
mean to offend. If I just ignore them without a brief, polite comment on *why*
I am ignoring them, the behavior never changes. And if I get killfiled for
making a polite request, then the person is probably not someone I wish to
associate with anyway :-)

When a youngish slip of a thing, I got bashed over the head with a
bible. Not the handy kind but a large hard backed version. Having
survived the attack I now discover that I have an aversion to those
that wield that book. In any form. I don't find it funny either.

Some of us have good enough eyes to distinguish
between a book and a club.  If you could distinguish
between folks who read a book and folks who swing a club,
you might find some of them have something worthwhile
to say.  Or you might not.  Whether to give it a chance
is your decision.

I am able to do so when not approached from behind.

>If you could distinguish

That is a bit like saying if you could distinguish between those who
know how to cook muscles and those who read poetry.

>you might find some of them have something worthwhile

Some of whom? Club weilders or those who read?

>Or you might not.

It might be easier to make a decision if I had the faintest clue of
what you are on about.

I'm sure you could figure it out if you choose to.
Me, I choose not to translate my posts into

claims to not understand them.
