It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my dear friend Chad Goodbrand, a.k.a "Crackers", who was also a member of this community. Goodbrand of Edmotnon formerly of Leduc on July 30, 2006 at the age of 26 years. Chad is survived by his loving family, his parents Brian and Diane Goodbrand of Leduc, sisters, Tammy (John) Keirstead and nephew Archer, and Jody Goodbrand, his grandparents, Ross and Joyce Goodbrand and Irene McGirr (Albert Scheltgen), many friends and his special cat "Kahlua". Hi, I am Anna, and I was a close work friend and personal friend of Chad's. If anyone from any of the groups that Chad was a member of, or any of Chad's online friends have any questions, comments, or anything they would like to share I encourage you to do so by e-mailing me at work. Our Faculty would like to create a Memorium of Chad and do something special in memory of him. We encourage any ideas or input on this. I was hoping that our Faculty could organize an annual Diabetes awareness/fundraiser in memory of Chad. I also wanted to express to everyone that Chad was one of my closest friends and I miss him dearly. I would like to keep in touch with everyone in Chad's life and I promise that if I have any updates from the family that I can pass them along. I got to know Chad over the years in a couple diabetic chat rooms that we both frequented along with many others who frequent this and many other diabetic newsgroups we have here. I will miss him terrbly as some one whom I could talk about my diabetic problems and had such a great sense of humor, respect, and honor that cannot be duplicated. CHAD: I'll miss you!
