Cheri, just wanted to let you know we are leaving in the morning for you-know-where.... <vbg>
The 3rd is Matthew's 3rd birthday, so we are headed to the road that leads the way to the
babies. *HE* will be caught up with all the birthday attention, so that means Kaitlyn will need
some grandmotherly attention. *s* Can't wait to get my hands on her again.
We were in Memphis yesterday for tests for me, and after eating, we went to the mall. Ashley
was with us, and she wanted, for old times sake, to go to the Disney Store where we not only
spent a lot of time in her younger years, but also outfitted her room, dress-up clothes, play
things, and of course, movies. I came into the store just a bit behind her, and there she
stood, all 16 y/o and 6' 2", with her hands outstretched, and said, "What happened? It's not as
big as it used to be!" It was fun to watch her be a "little 16 y/o"!!! She also helped me pick
out a few things for Matthew and Kaitlyn. We got back out to where Jim was, she was showing him
everything (just like she used to do :), then all of a sudden I realized........ I'd bought for
all the grands except for Jennifer, mother of the babies!!! I chugged back to the store, and
bought a picture frame for her. Goodness, I'm glad we have a small family! *s* Surprisingly,
the prices had not risen an out-of-this-world amount (thank goodness :), plus much was on sale
(hehehe - my favorite word :).
On our way home, I was texting her about our eating and shopping (ate at her fav place :), and
she wanted to know if I bought anything for the babies at Disney (we partially raised her, too,
so she knows me :), and told her I bought for *all* of *MY* babies. Her next text was "What did
I get?" We just decided today to go up there, and she does not know we are coming yet. Going
to wait until we're on the road then text her that we're on our way!
Just thought I'd let you know of my fun days ahead.
You have a marvelous day, and upcoming holiday,
Billie

"I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone
taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To
suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love,
openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable." -- Joseph Addison

That's wonderful Billie, I hope you have a great time with Kaitlin, and
I know you will. Have a safe trip, and a terrific 4th.
