Best cooler for HOT weather?

Texas summer isn't pretty, as Guy can attest.

This is my first summer using insulin and I need suggestions for a
cooler that'll stand up to 150+ temps for short periods, as that's how
hot my truck's interior can get if I have to park in the sun.

My only other constraint is size: It needs to hold three vials and as
many as 9 syringes without weighing down my already overloaded
"everything bag" in which I store my knitting, my wallet, my (small)
DayTimer, my PDA, my phone, my test kit and any kid junk or husband
junk that happens to be surreptiously dumped into it for "storage".

Suggestions?

i don't know of any cooler that can handle 150F
sorry

the frio is good up to 90F to keep the ambient
temps lower
but it has to be 'open to the air' and not sitting
in the sun

Something like this (see link) might be helpful.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3584908

I have a large size for drinks on long trips.  Works very well.

If stopping for the night we plug it in in the room.  Drinks and
snacks stay nice and cold, but not frozen.

Might not get as cool as you need in a very hot environment, never
tried it.

I understand you heat situation, DFW area myself.

I doubt it.  It says "Cools down to 40 degrees F below ambient temperature"

Doesn't seem like that would be cool enough.

What color is your truck? Seriously - you'd be amazed how much cooler
white is - I spent 30 years in the desert southwest - AZ and NM.

You might try one of the small soft side coolers with a couple of 'freezer
packs' - probably wrap the packs in a towel.
