Has anyone seen a natural sisal vegetable brush in the past few
decades?  All I can find is plastic ;(  I need something durable to
use as a group brush as I'm tired of paying $6 for the cheap plastic
ones the roaster sells.

A stiff, flexible non-metallic brush to use to clean the busiest part
of my espresso machine.  In other words, a sisal vegetable brush. The
plastic ones I've tried either do a shitty job or disintegrate after a
month in service.

Have you looked at the Fuller Brush site?  Believe it or not, Fuller
Brush isn't just an I Love Lucy episode :)

For my coffee grinder (usually used for spices:-) I use an
artist's brush bought at an art supplies place.

I don't know the hair source, except that it seems animal
and I've used it irregularly for over ten years. It has the
advantages of being small enough at the brush end to get
into the corners, stiff enough to do the job, and a long
handle for manipulation.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

Ah, ok, thanks : )  The last time I saw sisal was growing in Africa, I've no
idea what kinds of places sell it. I use a chef's blue plastic stiff
scrubbing brush, which I bought in a specialist kitchen shop.

I use any cheapo toothbrush to clean anything from remote control keypads to
combs (and a coffee grinder Alan S). Use them either damp with worktop
cleaner or dry.

At 17p (UK) for two, who cares if they don't last long?

A common mistake that people made when trying to design something completely
foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
