Does diabetes have any effect on the liver?

How does Diabetes affect the liver? I have been having tingling in the
upper right quadrant right underneath the breast since I found I was
diabetic? Like right before my period I get the tingling and my sugar is
low for the two weeks before my period?

Too much we don't know. What (if any) meds are you on? And I mean all meds
including OTC. What do you mean by "I get the tingling?" And what has your
BG been running?
