How does Diabetes affect the liver? I have been having tingling in the
upper right quadrant right underneath the breast since I found I was
diabetic? Like right before my period I get the tingling and my sugar is
low for the two weeks before my period?

I would have my gall bladder checked. I didn't get tingling I got pain.
Surprisingly I haven't gotten the bad pain since they took my Adrenal gland
out...don't know why. I had to have an Ultra sound on my ovary and they also
checked my gallbladder and discovered I have gallstones. Your Dr usually
does a Liver test when they do your others. If you are on Metformin  it
works in your liver by cutting down the glucous amount that goes through
your body. I have heard Diabetics have had gallbladder problems but I think
I read it is the ones that have lost a bit of weight.
Maybe someone else can enlighten you more:)

Princess: You refer to "tingling". Most doctor will associate this with
a possible localized neuropathy. My doctor did and it went away when BG
levels decreased. Just a thought. Tingling is not pain and could be a
nerve transmission problem related to high blucose levels particularly
when first diagnosed.
