Okies,

GFR    185.1
Creatinine    72

HDL    1.7
Smokes
Vascular risk: None
CHD    1.6

Can someone go through this and tell me where I need to tighten up and
what each means? This letter came out of the blue, it's the first I've
ever had. It looks fine to me but I know that

a) I could have much tighter control, I'm just lazy!
b) I eat quite well - lo carb high protein breakfasts, nuts and raisens
as snacks, not much of a choccy lover, but do have big appetite.

Thanks for takin the time - look forward to your replies!

Hi Mark

Note that I'm type 2. So treat my comment warily (I have no
problem with Mack, or Fester or any of the other type 1's
telling me to pull my head in on this one:-)

Try, just for a couple of days, testing your postprandial
spikes. Not just your two-hour BGs, find when you are
peaking after meals - it may be at one hour, it may be at
three, but find it. That will mean some extra tests after
meals for a couple of days, because your peaks may actually
be at different times for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Then review the meal and your insulin dosing. You may see
some patterns emerge which will help you adjust one or the
other. Or both.

Good luck,

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
