My tongue is bleeding from biting it.

I won't name names, but SOMEONE is getting out of hand here.

Note to self: "Be good!  Be good!  Don't get involved!"

Aaargh!  (It's tough being good...)

When you flip the channel. Use the remote control. It also gives a
feeling you are in charge! I know it works for me :-).

I always watched the Honeymooners but all I remember is, "Someday Alice,
POW! Zoom! Right to the moon!"  (Did I get it right?)

Let's see......my mother's advice when I started kindergarten is
now.....over 70 years old, but still good.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones,
but words will never hurt me".
Of course my dad's advice was, "smack 'em honey".

This is an avenue for sick people to give and get advice, and to VENT.
(alt.SUPPORT, remember?) .  Sometimes the vents carry bile......or
smoke......or poisonous vapor.
Sometimes WE"RE too sick to have the thick skins needed.  If what is
going on bruises you, back off for a bit and consider the source.
Spring time is around the corner.  California poppies are blooming.

I know the "sticks and stones" mantra by heart.  Too bad that once an
unkind word is uttered (usually in the heat of anger, which is often
masking hurt), the recipient doesn't forget.  They may forgive, but the
words can haunt them forever and can keep a small wedge of resentment
lingering for a lifetime.  Ever let slip a mean comment to a loved one,
that you KNOW will cause them emotional pain?  THAT'S a regretful moment...

Most of us heard that one when actually words have the power to hurt a
lot more than those sicks and stones.
