I have been seeing a lot of good post that are very useful.

I see the vague term DIABETES is a source of confusion.

There are very limited answers because we are talking
about many conditions.

It is too late to change  now.

I do see people offering advice to some people
that have a very different condition than the one they
have.

We must realize we are not far enough along to
have 100% answers.

Go back to pre 1920 and read a bit.

PBS had an excellent documentary on a
young girl  from a very rich family that
went through the diabetes cycle with
no insulin available.  With all of the
money the family was helpless.

Those ignorant Canadians found the
product that allows most us to live and
argue.

Oh yes the young girl never reached
adulthood.

I wonder if there was some way to get
this documentary run today?

It is simple,  you'se guys do the hard work then some US money
grubber buys the patent and mass produces the item.

If you were smart  insulin would sell for $ 200 a dose.

The ploy for high prices is the US talent and research
costs-------purchased from so many other countries.

Banting and Associates let me live.

Lantus makes my life better.

On and on.

it was actually a way of insulting everyone else while complimenting
the nawtherners.  Effective use of sarcasm.

I like to say that type I and type II are two different diseases with
quite similar symptoms. I'm far from sure that all type II diabetes is
the same. Certainly, we have quite different tolerances for foods.
