After a day in the frig and microwaved to reheat the 'indigestability of
their pasta seems to have disappeared and for me, it's as carby as regular
pasta.

Yes, a lot of folks report the same thing when using it for macaroni
salad or in baked pasta dishes where it's boiled first.

It's dreamfields alright, more like carb-coma. Spikes the heck out of me
just like regular pasta.

I have never had dreamfields, and from the responses here, I will stick
with my barilla.

I don't find that effect in macaroni salad, since it's cooked only once.
Reheated, yeah.

What I'm also finding is that if I eat it more than one day in a row, it
gives me the trots.

Some folks speculated that the acid in the dressing may've broken it down.

That's never happened here, but we've each had one instance of terrible
cramps and gas.

Ah!  My macaroni salad is dressed with mayonaise.  :-)  No such problemo.

No vinegar or lemon juice?  Maybe just a little?  Maybe yours was more
al dente, too?

WTFK?  :-)

Nothing besides what's in the mayo.  And a little al dente.  I like it
chewy, not mushy.

Not me!  I'll just enjoy my nice cold Dreamfields macaroni salad with
tuna and lots of cucumber chunks once the hot weather gets here.  :-)

Apparantly, it must be cooked fresh and only to the degree the box tells
you for it to work.

Overcooking will release the starch. All pasta becomes higher GI the
longer it's cooked.

I only tried Dreimfeilds once, and it gave me a spike a few hours
later. It's the only food that has ever done that to me.

I use low-carb pasta, but soy based, not driemfeilds, with no trouble
at all.
