But using a newsclient like OE is probably the best way?
Is there any reason you want to stop using OE?

I use Agent. There are a number of programs available. I don't have to
open a browser at all to get here. For a long time I used my email
program, Thunderbird, but Agent works better for me. YMMV.

The following information is given with the utmost respect
for the armed forces and civilians who have died in the
current war in Iraq. According to http://icasualties.org/oif/
The number of Americans killed in Iraq as of Mar. 16, 2006 is 2,317.
Americans wounded = 16,653 as of 02/07/2006
United Kingdom = 103
Other = 103
Iraqi deaths are probably in excess of 100,000.

I also found Agent much easier and more logical to use than
OE. http://www.forteinc.com/agent/download.php

I started with the free download, but eventually paid the
nominal amount to upgrade so that I could use killfiles.

I tried Google groups while travelling but found it tedious
to use.

I have News Rover on my laptop and on one of my office computers.

At home, I use Agent.....

Outlook Express, works but I personally did not find it to be quite as
satisfactory....
