I did a search on this topic and there seems to be disagreement. I am
surprised how little there is on the effects of consistent running.
If you type in "running and neuropathy" on Google there is not one
article.
I used to run regularly about 10 years ago. But have not been running
at all now, and my feet are really bothering me every night - a lot.
So I am thinking about starting.
I am thinking that running causes the blood to pound through your
entire body - including your feet, of course. So it seems like a way
to force blood through those tiny capillaries, possibly reopening the
ones that have closed down, due to the thick, "syrup" that just sort
of lays there - unable to flow properly.
I know this is very unscientific, and I have said nothing of the
nerves. But it does seem like at the very least, running could
enhanced blood flow to the feet. What do you think?

My doc told me that walking as an exercise is very helpful
for avoiding neuropathy in the feet because of increased
blood flow. So I assume that jogging could also have a
positive effect.
