In the near future, if we are lucky we will see a new diabetes news group:
alt.support.diabetes.argument.clinic

If we're lucky, all of the a-holes here who like to do nothing but argue and
disagree for no reason other than to see themselves talk, er, I mean try to
prove that they are right and you are wrong,  can go off and have a giant
cluster mind-f*ck of their own. This will leave behind people who are
seeking help, and those few who are actually trying to help them.

I also propose a mandatory signature for those who remain behind to help.
The exact wording needs to be worked out, but the ideas are:

1. The above expresses my opinion based on my own experience.
2. Everyone is different, so your results may not be the same as mine.
Actually, there is a good chance they won't be the same as mine.
3. If you don't already have one, seek out a caring, competent doctor who
will work with you and expect you to be a member of your medical team.
4. Not everyone here knows what they are talking about. Some things they say
may be correct, other things may be wrong, or may simply be based on their
own experience. Validate with another source anything you plan taking action
on.
5. Type 2 diabetics don't understand Type 1 diabetics and vice-versa. It's a
lot like two sects of the same religeon.
6. Learn as much as you can about diabetes. This forum is only one source,
not the total knowledge known to man. There are lots of good books. Read at
least three.

And I'm sure others have some ideas to add to this. The rest of you will
argue. (See follow up messages.)

LOL!  Guess I might remain behind.  I admit to agreement with items 1-6.

item 1...my opinions are based solely on my experiences, what else would
they be based on??, oh, and item 2, let's see...yup!...3 makes sense, 4,
oh did you hit the nail on the head!, 5--for sure, 6 that's one thought
I've brought up here about 1,764,432 times or so...

I could list about 25 posters who I'd love to see high tail it for the
mind f*cking group... <g>...but I don't want to start a riot.
