one more reason to stay away from Dennys although I have never eaten in

You're not missing a thing.  My dad used to insist that we eat there when we
were on vacation since the food was always predictable.  Eventually he came
to learn that predictable isn't always a good thing.

One of our worst dining experiences was when we were living in CA.  We went
to one of the "diner" type Dennys.  Angela was about 2 years old then.  We
had ordered some kind of kid's meal for her, but I can't remember what it
was.  The waiter totally forgot to bring her food.  We asked where it was
and he acted baffled about the whole thing.  He then disappeared for close
to an hour.  We have no clue where he went and we saw no other wait people
during this entire time.  The kitchen was located in a place where we
couldn't easily get the attention of the cooks.  We did try.  My dad and my
husband finally saw the waiter and had to go over to him to tell him that
Angela still hadn't gotten her meal.  He acted like he was ignoring them.
Finally two hours after going in there, we managed to get the bill.  Angela
never had gotten her drink or her meal, but we hadn't been charged for it
either.  We had given her a little bit of our food to eat, but for the most
part we had ordered stuff she wasn't eating at that age, like salad.  So she
was hungry, outraged and cranky.  It was a long time before we went to a
Dennys again.  We can't eat there now because of our food allergies.  At
least they are good to disclose this info. on their website.
