What else can I take to help relieve pain, and stiffness that is
not a prescription. I do have Fibromyalgia, most days I feel
great but there are days when I can hardly move. Right now take
aleve and glucoamine (1000mg) 2 times a day. I do have some
Hydocodone but I can't take a high enough strength of it to help
without getting chest pains. What else is out there that is OTC?
Also because of the way my joints and surrounding areas feel I do
not get a restfull night sleep. I also noticed that when I do not
sleep well and have alot of pain, my numbers get out of whack. I
really do not want to go back on the anti depressant the doc had
me on before as no matter the dose all I wanted to do was sleep,
granted the pain went away, but I do want some sort of a life.
LOL. Today is one of the days where it even hurts to type. I just
want some pain free days.

Goodies, Extra Strength or BC Powders, Arthritic Strength may be helpful to
you if you are not allergic to aspirin.
I think they both have generic Tylenol in them also, but I'm not certain of
that.

They will probably reduce your pain a great deal, but they may make you a
little drowsy also.

All forms for Aspirin and Tylenol have no effect on me at all. So
I do not take it.

Even though both Goodies and BC Powders contain aspirin and a form of
Tylenol they are both much more powerful and effective than either plain
aspirin or Tylenol.

They are the only OTC pain medicines I have taken that completely stop tooth
ache pain.

If you do decide to try them, it might be a good idea to check with your
doctor before hand to make sure they are O.K. to take with your other
medicines.

I have tried them before and they do not work for me.....even
prescription pain pills do not work.

Suzi, I would never recommend any type of medication without your
consulting your doctor if you have already tried tylenol, ibuprofen or
alleve.

I would suggest asking your doctor.

I take aleve now. Tylenol has no effect, and ibuprofen is about
the same as aleve, cuts some of the pain but not much.

This really depends on your condition and the meds you're currently on.
If there is a pain clinic in your area, try going for an appointment
there to see what can be done to help you. Good luck.

I have no insurance and self pay, so unfortunatly most likely
would not be able to afford it. Maybe once I move back down to
Florida I can get back on insurance, have been offered my old job
back, plus some other job offers are in the works as well.

MSM helps with my Fibro.  I started out taking 500 mg, twice daily but about
a year ago I had to up it to double that amount.  I did try stopping it at
one point, wanting to cut back on the amount of supplements I take, but the
pain came back.  So for me, it's essential.

Of all the diseases and problems that we as people face, high blood
pressure is one of the most easily treatable. Yet, there are so many
people who have it and are unable to lower it. Why?

The answer may surprise you.

Most people who suffer from high blood pressure, have been diagnosed as
having it and been given a treatment regime have great difficulty in
sticking to the regime itself. That is the biggest problem in battling
high blood pressure.

For example. Patients who need to take certain drugs to lower their
blood pressure become lax. They may basically feel okay, especially if
their blood pressure is not serious enough. Most people with borderline
high blood pressure have no symptoms. Therefore, because they basically
feel in good health they will occasionally skip their medications or
not take them at all.
It is always good to take the proper medication!
