Those of you with US Senators might want to call them about this --
"Enzi Health Insurance Legislation Would Jeopardize Lifesaving Coverage
Protections for Millions with Diabetes

Bill, S.1955, would allow health insurers to circumvent existing laws in 46
states that guarantee coverage for diabetes medications, supplies and
training"

Welcome to the world of ebay.  I wonder if the meter vendors are
behind this as are the insurance companies?  Would raise profits
exponentially for the meter companies.  I had a hunch something might
arise.  If somethings costs reduces corporate profits, the federal
government always comes to their rescue.  I wonder how much money is
being spread around the hill?

Huh?  This is USENET, isn't it?

I'm not reading it that way, but 1) I am not a lawyer so the reading
is slow and the verbage obfuscatory and 2) I haven't gotten all the
way through it yet.

I did find one clause that specifically states any provisions of the
new legislation do NOT negate any existing state legislation
regulating insurance coverage.  See disclaimer 2) above.

Sure seems that way sometimes.

Probably enough to make a substantial dent in today's interest accrued
on the national debt.
