Did a light lunch today with some fresh sole. Fish tacos with a lime-garlic
aioli.
The basic recipe was just posted on A.F.D. or at:

Pete,

How good are low carb tortillas and how many carbs do they have??? Very
curious.

Thanks for that recipe.

They taste better than the package they come in,  but not as good as "real"
tortillas.
Depending on the brand and size, they have 3-5g net carbs.

The ones I used today are at:

The only one I really like is Mission Carb Balance(5 carbs per). If I
lightly brush them with olive oil (or a butter) and heat them in like a
G.Forman for a few minutes, they get a crispy texture.

I've tried everyone  brand I could get my hands on and most tend to be REAL
doughy(uncooked like). IMHO

I also found a corn brand I will be trying here soon, Albertson's Taco
Shells. They are a hard shell made from white corn and are 13 carbs for two
shells. They come in a boxes of 12. Flour shells are "OK", but it would be
nice to bite in to a real crunchy shell once in awhile.

I see the Mission brand from time-to-time. I'll watch for the Carb Balance
version.

I also use te Mission brand, as that is what is available in my
neighborhood.  I use them for making fake pizza, first heating them in the
ovento get crisp and then topping them and returning them to the oven.  I
tried using the microwave but just got sog.
