T2 vs T1

I receive a lot of advice from local people
with T2.   They have no concept about the
disease that I have.

I wish I had to deal with blood sugars
of 110.

The worst offender is a local nurse that
seem to think she is a doctor.

We must separate the different versions of
elevated blood glucose levels.   There
seems to be several different versions.

OT as I write i am listening to C-spam. A young
lady is talking about an elderly reporter.
"He even covered the Vietnam  war.".

It all depends on the prospective.  I missed
being drafted in WW2 by a year or two.

Guy,

I agree with you; T1 is so extreme compared to most T2 that they almost
need to be considered entirely different illnesses.

I can't speak to the nurse who thinks she is a doctor, but I imagine
most T2's who are giving you useless advice still feel they are trying
to help.  Perhaps you could shut out the advice itself and focus on the
fact that they want you to feel better.

My background dictates I pursue all sources of information.  I
do filter it through my logic and a bit of old farmer common
sense.

I do not accept printed material as a fact but something
that must fit in with the other knowledge.

:Lastly, I am not the only person in the world that
others must believe.

I don't think C-Span is in any way comparable to the spam we get over the
internet.
JMO & I hope that was a typo.

do hunt for the broad picture but make me so negative at
times.

Nothing is more despicable that the adverting of prescription
drugs..

IN the old days we used to talk about people stealing the
coins off of the eyes of a corpse  I think there is a lot
of that today.

I completely agree Guy.

We are people who share some common symptoms and possible
complications of two (or more) quite different conditions,
sometimes requiring some common treatments but more often
requiring quite different methods.

That's something we should all keep in mind when offering
advice - particularly to newbies. I also wish all posters
would note their type in their sig.

I wish you were on the board of the ADA:-)

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
