Thanks everyone.
I called my doc he said keep up with the byetta until monday and give
him a call to let him know how things were. So far my yeast is much less
but still here, and especially bad at night. my bgs have been mis 200s
to low 300s in the past 3 days.
I am not tired anymore and thankfully able to return to work and go
about my regular schedule.
As far as what I normally eat....
In the morning sometimes 2 eggs and sausage with a diet coke with lime
and half a bagel with margarine or cream cheese. A lot of times it is
left overs from dinner the night before and an apple or orange.
(it is either the fruit or the bagel but never both)
in the afternoon
either fruitwater or s.pellegrino a (club or tuna) salad from subway
with just vinegar, a small bag of chips or popcorn.
dinner some pasta not much less than a serving or a small potato with
butter and sourcream and a meat.
snacks occassionally frozen oj in the 3ounce plastic cup i find if i
freeze the oj the 3ouces satisfies my craving and lasts longer than me
guzzling down a large glassful. or some nachos, microwave popcorn (a
small bag lasts for 3 snacks) or a piece of fruit.
I drink more than a gallon of water a day.

Hi anais
If in doubt about what I'm about to say - check with your
doc (read my sig). I think you need to see how much those
foods are affecting you.
There are things that you are eating that ring alarm bells.
You wrote this earlier: "my bgs were high 200 - low 300s.
since going back on the meds i have been no lower than 259
but have seen 567, 598, 524, a few 300 and 400s."
Try an experiment tomorrow. One day won't kill you for you
to learn something. Try going an entire day without eating
ANY of the following foods:
bagel
apple
orange
chips
pasta
potato
oj
nachos
or any other starch or fruit.
You can eat as much as you like, just for tomorrow, of the
other foods you listed. Meats, eggs, salads (not potato
salad), vegetables, but NO starchy foods or fruit or juices.
Just for one day.
Keep the OJ handy, just in case - but only for emergencies
in case of lows. It's possible you'll get the shakes even if
you're over 100 coming down from those numbers - that's when
you can have the OJ or a half-bagel. If you go low, test and
eat or drink a little, then test again in fifteen minutes.
While trying this experiment, test 90 minutes after each
meal or snack. If it's over 200, test again an hour later.
Note the food and the numbers and let us know what happens.

Thanks Alan I'll try your idea. Sadly I think my honeymoon time may have
ended.

I thought you were type 2. Are you type 1? Your doc seemed
remarkably unconcerned when he said "I called my doc he said
keep up with the byetta until monday and give him a call to
let him know how things were."
