How do all of you find stress affects your daily readings?

We found out today that our beloved pet dog of 14 years has a tumor and we
will probably have to put her down within the next month.

Needless to say we don't need this news.

Stress can raise glucose readings.

And losing a dear family member is certainly stress.

I'm so sorry to hear of your dog's illness.

Sorry to hear that.  Stress usually raises BG.

Jr. no one ever needs that news and I am sorry that you will suffer the
loss of your dog.  I had a death in the family and I had one morning
where my bgs were about 158.  Other than that, my numbers were pretty
normal during that time.

Its painful, but it is the circle of life.

We prayed for a miracle and God has granted it.

We returned to the vet this afternoon for an additional sonogram and it was
found out that what was thought to be a tumor was in fact a fatty area due
to old age redistribution of body mass.

In other words, our dog has a spare tire and not a tumor!!

To God be the glory, great things He has done!!!

Thanks to all for prayers and concern.

Great.  now take him/her out for a walk (and cut down on the chow).

I'm so happy for you.

I know what a basket case I was when my dog did have a tumor (on her liver)
& surgery to remove it. It took forever (about 10 days, seemed like a *lot*
longer) to get the pathology report back, & she was *very* slow to recover
from surgery (think: wouldn't eat or drink, got naso-gastric tube as well as
iv, a week in the hospital) so I was sure it was going to be bad news (& I'd
put my poor baby through a nasty time for nothing). But it was benign, so
aside from the recovery time & the humongous vet bill things worked out
fine.

I hope your pup continues to do well.

Why do you attribute a misdiagnoses to a miracle from God?
