Hi guys,

Once again here trying to bother you the less as possible.

On my last 3 hypo's has happened something not so common,

Usually when I feel the hypo coming, immediately take my glucose tablet and
I am ok,

But the last 3 times I didn't have the chance to take my tablets
immediately,

And I ended with a big stomach discomfort.

During the day when the hypo starts, I feel the shaking; the cold and I know
its coming so immediately I rush to eat something, usually something with a
small amount of carbs of course.

But after a few minutes my stomach gets crazy and I end with stomach pain
and diarrhea.

Same happen last night but I didn't eat anything besides my glucose tablet.

Since I don't have much Hypo's.

My question, is this normal after Hypo's?

I have been under Lantos (30 Units a day) for 3 months and Glucophage 2 GMS
a day for 4 years now but I never feel this discomfort.

I talk to my MD by phone (next week appointment) but he says don't seem
related with my diabetes, but when only happens if I have Hypo I am not so
sure about it.

Any comment will be highly appreciated.

You took A tablet for a hypo??   How about the usual 3-4 that are
recommended?  Are you checking your bg 15 minutes after THE tablet, to
see if your bg budged?  There aren't many carbs in ONE table--just 4.

I checked the nutrition label on my table.  Each leaf contains 40 carbs!

But how many are fiber?  Wood is usually mostly fiber.

Thank you David,

I mean my TabletS, but i dont take more than 3 and that is the most.
I preffer to be alert for a while, watching my readings insted of taking the
tablets and going back to sleep.
I have noticed if i do that i end with 280 in the morning.
If i keep my self awake ingesting a few carbs, usually Danon low carb
smoothie or Low-carb yogurth, that way my morning will be between 97 and 120
as much.

could this be related with my stomach discomfort?
